NITROGEN DIOXIDE (NO2)

SCIAMACHY TM4NO2A version 1.10 NO2 tropospheric columns for China, 1x1 degree resolution (2007)

The data and images emerged from the analysis of TEMIS SCIAMACHY TM4NO2A version 1.10 NO2 tropospheric column and NO2 total column level 2 swath data.

Data Images: Maps with the annual NO2 tropospheric column means (10^15 molec./cm^2), the standard deviation and the number of months with available data for each grid. Maps with the annual NO2 total column means (10^15 molec./cm^2), the standard deviation and the number of months with available data for each grid.

 

Data in Ascii: a file in dat format with the latitude, the longitude, the annual mean NO2 tropospheric column (10^15 molec./cm^2), the annual mean NO2 total column (10^15 molec./cm^2) and the annual mean NO2 assimilated stratospheric column (10^15 molec./cm^2)

All values data: All level 2 single pixel NO2 measurements within each 1x1 degree grid.

columns: date (yyyymmdd), time (hhmmss), decimal year, longitude corner 1, latitude corner 1, longitude corner 2, latitude corner 2, longitude corner 3, latitude corner 3, longitude corner 4, latitude corner 4, longitude center, latitude center, NO2 total column (10^15 molec./cm^2), error on total column, NO2 tropospheric column (10^15 molec./cm^2), error on tropospheric column, assimilated stratospheric column (10^15 molec./cm^2), error on stratospheric column, flag of meaningful tropospheric retrieval (0=yes, -1=no), surface pressure of the pixel (Pa), satellite solar zenith angle, satellite viewing zenith angle, satellite relative azimuth angle, SCIAMACHY subset counter (0=Nadir, 3=Backscan, 7=Last most westerly forward pixel), IASB slant column density (10^15 molec./cm^2), total air-mass factor, tropospheric air-mass factor, geometrical air-mass factor, stratospheric slant column density (10^15 molec./cm^2), cloud fraction from FRESCO, cloud top pressure from FRESCO (Pa), surface albedo for clear part of the pixel from TOMS/GOME database, cloud radiance fraction (percentage of light coming from the cloudy part of the scene)

 

Monthly means data: NO2 tropospheric, total and assimilated stratospheric column monthly means for each 1x1 degree grid.

columns: month, monthly mean NO2 tropospheric column, standard deviation, number of measurements per month, monthly mean NO2 total column, standard deviation, number of measurements per month, monthly mean NO2 assimilated stratospheric column, standard deviation, number of measurements per month.

 

Graphs: Figures with all tropospheric NO2 measurements in (10^15 molec./cm^2) and the corresponding monthly means for each 1x1 degree grid.
